Product Description
Uncooled FPA Thermal Imaging Detector 8~14μm for ADAS
400x300 / 12 μm Uncooled FPA Thermal Imaging Detector with Ceramic Package

The Apex412C uncooled infrared detector is a new infrared product developed by SensorMicro. It utilizes the international mainstream vanadium oxide material, providing outstanding comprehensive performance. This vanadium oxide (VOx) microbolometer detector covers the long wavelength range from 8 to 14μm with a resolution of 400x300 and pixel size of 12μm.

Ceramic packaging is currently the most popular packaging technology on the market, significantly reducing the detector's size, weight, and power consumption. By integrating this ceramic packaging infrared detector, infrared cameras can present clear and sharp images.

This new ceramic package infrared detector provides more choices for customers across various industries including Industrial Automation, Intelligent Security, Unmanned Platform, Robot, Intelligent Hardware, Advanced Driver Assistant System, and Firefighting.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is infrared thermal imaging?

In nature, all objects whose temperature is higher than absolute zero (-273℃) can radiate infrared rays. By using the infrared camera detector to measure the infrared radiation temperature difference between the target itself and the background, you can get different infrared images, which are also called thermal images.

2. How do infrared detectors work?

Infrared radiation emitted by targets enters the sensing range of the thermal detector. The infrared detector converts the radiation signal of different intensity into corresponding electrical signals, and then through amplification and video processing, forms infrared images that can be observed by the naked eye.

3. What are the advantages of cooled infrared detectors?

The cooled infrared focal plane detector operates at low temperature provided by a detector dewar cooler (DDC). It has high sensitivity and can distinguish more subtle temperature differences than uncooled infrared detectors. It can detect, identify, and recognize objects at very long ranges exceeding ten kilometers. The complex structure of cooled detectors results in relatively higher costs compared to uncooled detectors.
