Product Description

Tiny Size Uncooled LWIR 256x192 / 12μm Thermal Imaging Sensor Detector for AIoT Applications

Product Description

GST212W is one of the Wafer Level Packing (WLP) vanadium oxide (VOx) microbolometer detectors. This VOx uncooled focal plane detector covers long wavelength from 8 to 14μm. And its resolution is 256x192 with pixel size at 12μm.

Thanks to the wafer level packaging technology, the WLP infrared detector has simpler manufacturing process and is more suitable for high volume and low cost production, which is easier to be integrated into many thermal imaging applications. Due to its miniature size, lightweight and low power consumption, GST212W thermal infrared detector can be widely used in many new emerging markets like consumer electronics.

We specialize in the design, manufacture, sales and marketing of thermal imaging detectors and infrared modules. We can provide our customers a variety of infrared thermal imaging solutions which shorten secondary development time and greatly reduce the cost for customers.

FAQs

1. How does uncooled focal plane array microbolometer work?

By using the principle of infrared radiant thermal effect, the uncooled infrared detector converts infrared radiation energy into heat energy with infrared absorption material, so that the temperature of the sensitive material increases. Then, a certain physical parameter of the sensitive material changes accordingly and converts into electrical signal or visible light signal through a certain conversion mechanism designed to realize the detection of the object.

2. What's the advantage of uncooled vox microbolometer?

Uncooled infrared focal plane detector does not need an Integrated Dewar Cooler Assembly (IDCA) device and can work at room temperature. It has the advantages of fast start, low power consumption, small size, light weight, long life, low cost and so on. Although the sensitivity of uncooled infrared focal plane detector is not as good as that of cooled infrared detectors, after years of development, its cost performance has been obviously better than the cooled detector, which has a broader application prospect.
