GDES-450H55 Airborne 4-axis Multi-band Reconnaissance Pod
The GDES-450H55 airborne 4-axis multi-band reconnaissance has the capability to capture images with complementary advantages of different wavebands by integrating visible light and infrared cameras.
Based on an extensive experience in advanced electro optics and infrared systems (EO/IR), the GDES-450H55 pod is equipped with 1080P visible light camera, large array 1280 cooled thermal camera, laser rangefinder and other optical devices (laser indication, laser illumination etc.). With visible light camera, infrared camera and ranging laser, the pod is feasible for day-and-night imaging, distance measurement and so on.
Automatic and suspected target warning, target location, multi-target memory functions can be used to provide target information for the aircraft fire control system. Its active vibration reduction technology ensures the high accuracy stability of the visual axis, and enables high-speed tracking of moving targets.
- High stability accuracy up to 0.03mrad
- Core infrared detector with self-developed intellectual property right
- Support real-time output of thermal image and visible image
- With inertial image stabilization, locking, scanning functions
- With airborne information for target positioning function

1. What is the difference between low light, active IR and thermal imaging?
Low light needs natural light and transforms weak natural light image into enhanced electronic image through image intensifier;
Active IR actively emits infrared light and uses infrared beam reflected by the target. It has very poor concealment;
Thermal imaging doesn’t need any light and is a passive infrared night vision that detects infrared radiation difference between targets and scene or different parts of an object. not be affected by the changes of the surrounding lighting conditions, during night or even in fog, rain and other harsh environments.
