GAVIN615L is one of GAVIN series that is a kind of standard cooled infrared module developed by SensorMicro. It uses a cooled 640x512 / 15µm LWIR infrared detector and RS058 cryo cooler inside.
Various image processing algorithms are already embedded in the GAVIN615L electronics to output clear infrared images in the total darkness or bad weather conditions. This cooled camera module can not only present more target details at short distance, but also detect and recognize threats at long distance.

1.What is Pseudo Color?
Pseudo color, also called false color, the thermal distribution of objects can be transformed into visual pictures by the infrared thermal imaging system and displayed on the monitor in grey level or pseudo color. Thus the temperature distribution of objects can be obtained. To make it easier for people to easily analyze a thermal image visually it is represented using a false colors representing the difference in temperature.
