Accelerator For Cooled Infrared Detector 640x512 Cooled AD Module
Cooled AD Module with 640x512 / 15μm MCT MWIR Cooled Infrared Detector for Fast Integration
EYAS series cooled AD modules have the pre-amplifier function to convert the analog signal from cooled IR detectors into a digital video stream output. It is available with different resolution formats and different wave bands. EYAS615A is a member of EYAS family with 640x512 / 15μm MWIR cooled detector and RS058 cryocooler integrated.
With EYAS series cooled AD module, it is easy for OEM customers to carry out fast acceptance test on GST infrared detectors, start rapid secondary development and shorten their development period of modules and complete products based on cooled infrared detectors.
Global Sensor Technology specializes in the design, manufacture, sales and marketing of thermal imaging detectors and infrared modules. We can provide our customers a variety of infrared thermal imaging solutions which shorten secondary development time and greatly reduce the cost for customers.

The EYAS615A thermal imaging module is widely used many areas such as Remote Monitoring System, Flight Vision Enhancement System, Multi-sensor Payload etc.
1. What is thermal sensiivity?
Thermal Sensitivity, also named NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference), is a key parameter for evaluating medium wave (MWIR) and long wave (LWIR) thermal imaging cameras. It is directly related to the clarity measured by the thermal imager. It is a numerical value representing the signal-to-noise ratio of the temperature difference and measured in milliKelvins (mK). The smaller the thermal sensitivity value, the higher the sensitivity and the clearer the image.
2. What is the difference between uncooled and cooled IR detectors?
There are currently two types of infrared thermal imaging sensors on the market, cooled and uncooled.
Uncooled IR detector operates at ambient temperature. It is based on semi-conductor industry and thus usually can be fabricated in big volume with small size and low cost. Uncooled IR detectors are widely used in portable/handheld/mobile devices.
Cooled IR detectors are packaged in a unit that keeps them at an extremely low temperature which shall be supported by a cryo cooler. They are much bigger, more expensive and less reliable than uncooled sensors, mainly due to the complex cooling systems they require. However, the cooled systems are incredibly sensitive and usually work with long focal length optics to achieve long range mission
