Product Description
GAVIN615B by GST Infrared

GAVIN615B MWIR Infrared Camera Module Integrates 640x512 / 15μm Cooled MCT IR Detector

Product Description

GAVIN615B cooled camera module integrates the 640x512 /15μm cooled photoconductive HgCdTe (mercury cadmium telluride, MCT) MWIR infrared detector and RS046 cryocooler. By adopting the MCT technology, this cooled infrared thermal module is sensitive to mid wavelength infrared (MWIR) from 3.7~4.8 µm.

GAVIN series is the standard cooled infrared module developed by Global Sensor Technology (GST). It is available with different resolution formats, different wave bands and also different continuous optical lens options.

With this GAVIN615B cooled camera module, it is ideal for customers to conduct secondary development and greatly reduces the cost of their thermal imaging applications. And its compact size allows for easy integration into many systems or instruments.

Main Features

- High Sensitivity, NETD≤18mK

- Long Range Detection

- Adjustable Frame Rate

- Easy Integration into the System

FAQs

1. What is the difference between Cooled MCT & T2SL Detector?

Low light needs natural light and transforms weak natural light image into enhanced electronic image through image intensifier;

Active IR actively emits infrared light and uses infrared beam reflected by the target. It has very poor concealment;

Thermal imaging doesn’t need any light and is a passive infrared night vision that detects infrared radiation difference between targets and scene or different parts of an object. not be affected by the changes of the surrounding lighting conditions, during night or even in fog, rain and other harsh environments.

2. How to select right pseudo color for thermal imaging?

- The gray white is more suitable for the target with small temperature difference

- The red and blue is more suitable for the scene where the problem points need to be found.

- The iron red is the standard color palette of the power industry.

Note: no matter which palette you choose, the thermal temperature will not change at all.

3. What is the advantage of infrared thermal imaging?

---See through total darkness

---Identification under camouflage

---Long range detection

---Heat distribution detection

---Non-contact temperature measurement

---Occupation awareness

---And so on
