The MICO612 LWIR infrared camera module is part of the MICO series developed by SensorMicro. This uncooled infrared camera core features a resolution of 640x512 and a pixel size of 12μm, making it an ideal solution for security monitoring applications. It delivers high-quality thermal imaging capabilities even in complete darkness or adverse weather conditions.
Uncooled infrared camera cores eliminate the need for cryogenic coolers, significantly simplifying system design and reducing overall costs. This makes them perfect for various security monitoring applications including surveillance, perimeter protection, and intrusion detection.
The high-resolution 640x512 sensor with 12μm pixel size provides exceptional image clarity and detail, enabling detection of even minor temperature differences. Selection depends on your specific application requirements and budget considerations. For applications where image quality is not critical, lower resolution detectors (120x90, 256x192, 400x300) may suffice. For applications requiring very clear images, such as remote monitoring, higher resolution detectors like 1280x1024 are recommended.
Gray-white palettes are more suitable for targets with small temperature differences. Red and blue palettes work better for identifying problem points in scenes. Iron red is the standard color palette for the power industry. Note that regardless of which palette you choose, the actual thermal temperature measurements remain unchanged.
Standard lenses meet normal requirements for appropriate distances. Telephoto lenses are suitable for relatively small targets viewed from long distances. Wide angle lenses provide more detail for objects at close distances. Macro lenses are designed for viewing very tiny targets at close distances, such as chip circuits.
