Product Description
LWIR Infrared Thermal Surveillance Camera Module 640x512 25Hz 30Hz
Uncooled Thermal Surveillance Camera Module LWIR 640x512/12 μm

MICO612 uncooled thermal camera core consists of 640x512 / 12µm uncooled thermal camera sensor and provides clear image and superior performance.

MICO612 LWIR infrared module is one of the MICO series developed by SensorMicro. The MICO612 thermal camera core is specially designed for security and surveillance applications. With it, thermal security systems can sense an object's heat radiation, capture images 24/7, regardless of environmental factors such as darkness, low light, strong backlight, etc.

SensorMicro uncooled infrared detectors and thermal imaging modules can be widely used and integrated into security monitoring systems, such as smart city road traffic monitoring for improving the efficiency and safety of transport networks, infrastructure monitoring, fire security in industrial areas, early fire detection for open areas or even over long distances, harbor protection, border security for preventing illegal border crossing, perimeter surveillance, maritime cruising, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is infrared radiation?

When talking about infrared thermal imaging, the first thing to think about is infrared radiation (IR). The wavelength of infrared radiation energy starts at about 700nm and extends to about 1mm. All objects emit a certain amount of heat in the form of infrared radiation, which is invisible to us, because in the entire electromagnetic spectrum, the naked eye can only see "visible light".

2. How does infrared thermal imager work?

The core component of the infrared equipment is the infrared thermal detector, which can sensitively detect the tiny temperature difference of the surrounding objects. Then, it collects this radiation information from the object and outputs the temperature information for imaging, which is based on the temperature difference information. The hotter the object, the more infrared radiation it produces. If the intensity is too high, you can feel it like heat.
